    Happy Easter, everyone

    LOVE

Love is not the easy ride to happiness everyone takes it to be
It is a road traveled in a fast car or a slow train to destiny
Love is complex and full of hidden meaning
Love has so much to give, so much to receive in return
Love is a give or a take and love is possessive, yet being selfless
It is an act of surrender, being willing to submit to another’s will
In total trust and without fear of the outcome
Love is worship of another, devotion to a cause so great that death
Gives rise not just to the cherished memories but to life everlasting
Love is the desire to forget one’s self and serve this adored one
With a pure truth so consuming as to be the focus in life
Love is faithful, loyal, powerful and endless
Love exists because God exists as the love operating inside your heart
And guiding you in your actions; God is in control
He lives in you and works his wonders through the act of love
God is everywhere, in everything under the sun
Love begets love, universal love, love one another
God loves all, and His love is the greatest love gift of all
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son
So that whosoever believeth in him shall have everlasting life

    PEACE

    Deep Peace of the running wave to you;

    Deep Peace of the flowing air to you;

    Deep Peace of the shining stars to you;

Deep Peace of the Son of Peace to you

    (Celtic Blessing)

    THE POWER OF NATURE

    I arise today, through the strength of heaven;

    Light of sun, radiance of moon;

    Splendor of fire, speed of lightning;

    Swiftness of wind, depth of sea;

Stability of earth, firmness of rock

    (St. Patrick’s Prayer)

    And to that I add:

     But most of all,

I arise today through the glory

And the power of God’s love for us,

     May we all Praise God

     In his abundant goodness

    HI,

I am looking forward to spring being here soon and warmer weather.

In my mind are the flowers that will be springing forth

and I thought i would come by and make a list of flowers dear to my heart, and which i am always happy to see whenever they bloom.

my favorite of all flowers is the violet with its heart shaped leaves.

But of course they are not the first to bloom.

    Snowdrops and spring beauties,

delicate and white are usually the first in sight

crocus in purple or yellow or white, maybe even pink

appear fairly quickly and hyacinth, i love its scent

they are the ones  with the column of star shaped flowers

usually purple but like the crocus, come in many pastel shades

then come the yellow forsythia bushes and the pink hawthorn

the dogwood trees begin to unfurl their blooms too

and yellow daffodils and jonquils and buttercups

and narcissi with two flowers on one stem

mirror images of each other dot the countryside

    violets appear, and lilacs bloom

by this time it is late march, early april

and the fruit trees get their blossoms too

pear with a scent  reminding me of fish

    apple, cherry and peach

dandelions add their yellow heads to the tangling grass

soon to turn to globes and fly as seed with the wind

    wherever it blows

    children love the dandelion

    adults find them irritating weeds

they forget how beautiful they can be

irises i also love very much,

    some people call them flags

    honeysuckle and trumpetvine

make their appearance a bit later in season

    along with wildrose and thistle

roses, the cultured kind, most people find

    as the flower most divine

their perfume most memorable,  most preferred

but i never forget the shy violet covering the bank

of the Ohio of my childhood

for it was the violet stole my heart at 2 years old

and taught me the beauty of flowers

  • new year, new things

    hi everyone,

thought i would come by today and enter a new blog and just fill in on things that have been going on in last few months. last year i did not come here too many times, though i would have liked to but for the last 6 months of the year i spent most of it with only library access as my own computer crashed and i had to send it for repairs, and then  after i got it back i changed from broadband to dial up and so that's a bit slower connection but cheaper. i have been more active in  church too , and have become a member of the first church of the nazarene and this is a church i feel comfortable in, which i can't say i ever felt before so after the new year this was a step i wanted to take.

i have also been working on several writing projects, and now have 2 collections of poems am going to publish. one is Resonance: the soul-bloom's quest, the other is Love's Own Passion. Some can be found among the backpages here on xanga, as a matter of fact.

i am still editing The Chair of Release and Remembrance, which am sorry i have not completed yet but i feel in its time, and mustn't push it, but i am steadily getting closer each day. everything in its season.

also i have been painting a lot during the time my computer was in shop and i now have about15 paintings of big cats, wolves and so on, and these are for sale, too.

i am glad we now have a new president and i pray that our economy improves now and things get better for everyone.

i have seen the power of prayer in action, so i am happy to know God is looking out for his children. He won't let anything too bad happen, he is a kind and loving father.

    take care, God bless.

1d8a7485-503b-4177-8c8b-d0adb8e85a27 Hello, it is Christmas eve and i  went to communion at my church this evening and it was a beautiful and special experience unlike anything I have known before. I was not sure what to expect but i thought it would be a congregation meeting as that was what I have known in the past though I have never been on Christmas eve night, and I am glad that I went.

It was a small family communion as the pastor saw each  family group singularly. I was there with my sister-in-law, my cousin and her daughter. The pastor talked with us in a personal way as family to him, for we are of his church family and he told of the night that  the disciples had the Lord's Supper with Christ and how they must have acted being cheerful and light hearted, and how Christ strove to see that they understood  the meaning of the body and the blood of Christ symbolic in the bread and wine which he shared with them.

As I partook of the bread and wine which we dipped rather than sipped I thought of the sacrifice Christ made on the cross to wash away our sins and before I swallowed tears were in my eyes and streaming down my cheeks, for I knew His love and  his Father's love for us is the greatest love that can be.

more than 2000 years ago Christ was born in a manger to the Virgin Mary and it is that special and holiest of events that matter tonight not the commercialism of Christmas as we know it today. What many people forget as they get caught up in the rush of gift giving is that the greatest gift given or received is love in the heart and a true sincerity to help others and think of them rather than  themselves and what they find under the Christmas tree. We should be honoring God for loving us enough to send his only begotten son to save us from our sins. His gift is the gift of life, the gift of hope, the gift of salvation, the gift of love and  ours is to have faith and believe and we shall be saved. God is great. God is  good. Glory be to God. We are blessed.

    I love you, Jesus.

I love you, Father,  Lord of All, the great I AM.

I pray that this coming year be a truly great improvement in the quality of life for everyone all over the world.

God bless us every one. Amen, and have a  wonderful year's end and a better New Year coming.

    The Money Game

    Money, money, money

Everybody needs it, but nobody’s got it

    Money, money, money

It comes in slowly and goes out fast

Work for days, too many hours worth,

And then it’s gone in seconds

From one hand to another and another

    From the moment of birth

    Until the moment of death

Money hangs like a scythe over one’s head

Money is a liquid that never can be held onto for long

Money is an illusion that leads to delusion

It never stays around in anybody’s care for long

It never lasts and it causes much harm

It does more damage than good

Those who value money will do anything to get rich

Do anything to keep their position,

Do anything it takes to make it theirs,

Thinking it will solve all their problems

Not realizing it is the problem in the first place

That lack of money staring them in the face

Keeping up with the Johnson’s is the thing to do

    Have what they have

    Or better if possible

That nice car, that fine brick home,

    The kids: a college fund,

    That summer vacation,

    The upper class job position;

    This brings in the cash

    And makes the dream reality

In this Dog eat Dog World,

How do we compete in the Rat Race?

Strife brings on the knife’s sorrow

    Borrow tomorrow for yesterday’s plight

Borrow from Peter to pay off Paul

Paybacks are hell and it ain’t fair deals

    Round Robin, Robin Hood

What goes around comes back around

You know, fool, money never grows like moss on trees

    Money, money, money

Everybody, you say: everybody needs it

    Money, money, money

Nobody, you say: nobody’s got it

    When you don’t have it

You wear long faces, big pout

There’s never enough to help out

    And take away the worries

    Some people’s got it

Born with a silver spoon in their mouth

Or they got a special knack

    Maybe they made a pact

And sold their souls to the devil

    Some people flaunt their wealth

    Three cheers to good health

Some people struggle to make ends meet

They find every effort they do

    Earns little worth of value

They wonder at their bad luck

    What is wrong with them?

Nothing they do earns them a good paycheck

Much as they’d like it otherwise, life sucks

Yesterday’s loan turns into today’s headache

    Into heartache and misery

    Living from paycheck to paycheck

Maybe no paycheck as the economy is dismal

    How can it be solved?

    Strife leads to a life

    Full of compromises

    And lots of empty promises

All for me and nothing for you to chew

Don’t except it and then you don’t miss it

Those who say that are secure with no cause for concern

    The way to learn

Of another’s dilemma is to walk in their shoes

When you know firsthand what suffering means

You sympathize when you find the menu contains beans

Money, money, money, MONEY rules the world

Power is money, and smells so fine

Let’s use our time counting pennies and dimes

Temptation is the dance leading the innocent to crime

Evil deeds have a price that leads men down a road of sin

Money dreams, oh those money schemes

    Get rich quick

    Climb the corporate ladder

    Walk over people’s backs,

    And walk on their heads

Don’t think about who you hurt along the way

To succeed you do whatever you must

And if it breaks a trust

What the hey, what the heck

Everybody knows how the pecking order works

The survivors are the strongest jerks

    Survival of the fittest

    The weak never make it

They fall in the dust stirred up by the rush

Mankind doesn’t have much sympathy for the weak

Being sweet is only a means to an end

Whole businesses stand upon the broken backs

Of Mom and Pop, smeared in blood, tears and forked tongued lies

It requires the leader’s ruthless heart to succeed in this Money Game

Money is the boon, the aim, the goal in this race for Power

Everyone believes when money is around

    Happiness will be found

The truth is that the things that matter most in life

Have no price tag and can not be bought, sold or bartered away

It is free and given with a joy unmatched by anything money can buy

    Money, money, money

You suck up the fools who don’t understand

They tell you money gives you everything best in life

They love everyone dependant upon a monetary system

You can live simply and be happy with few if any worries

Money creates worries and much of the sadness in the world

Money is not made by God it is made by man

And look at every single and unique problem on this earth

And you will find a dull coin chokes its very life’s breath

For money in some way caused this to happen

    Until civilization builds a nation

    Independent upon a monetary system

And finds true freedom from man’s slavery to Money

Then and only then will Peace reign on Earth
